Conflicts between the redevelopment proposal, legacy Strikingly site, and the earlier GitHub prototype are preserved here rather than silently overwritten.
Original prototype did not fully follow Section II
The earlier prototype had Home, Why Mississippi, Institutions, For Students, About MAIE, Events, and Contact. It lacked separate Member Institutions, International Programs, Mississippi International Students, Outreach & Partnerships, Governance, and Search. Those sections now exist.
Member Institutions vs statewide directory
The prototype's institution list was a statewide directory, not a confirmed MAIE membership list. It is retained under Study in Mississippi, while member records are now separated under Member Institutions.
Historic member lists disagree
The legacy Strikingly page shows 7 StudyMississippi member institutions; its linked 2018 NAFSA brochure lists 17. Both dated lists are preserved and neither is labeled as the confirmed 2026 roster.
Mississippi College name change
Current-facing pages use Mississippi Christian University. Historical records keep “Mississippi College” with a note identifying the current name.
Blue Mountain College historical name
The 2018 brochure used Blue Mountain College. The historic entry keeps that name and notes the current Blue Mountain Christian University name.
Board information is historical
The old site lists leadership for 2017–2020, so those records are placed under Former Officers. A current 2026 board roster was not supplied.
2018 meetings and news are archival
2018 state meetings, the 2018 board election, the Region VII conference, and NAFSA Philadelphia participation are preserved as historical records rather than current events.
Legacy contact details are dated
The 2018 brochure listed studymississippi@gmail.com and @studyMS. These remain marked as historical until MAIE confirms current channels.
Hosting plan differs from preview hosting
The planning proposal recommends Vercel. The current development preview is on GitHub Pages. The preview does not replace the Vercel recommendation or the selected official domain.
Official domain
The planning proposal identifies studymississippi.us as the selected official domain. The GitHub Pages address is only the current development preview.
